Unreal Phenomenon

You quote Lamrimpa as saying that according to Nagarjuna, “for whom emptiness is possible, all phenomena are possible.” What does this mean?

Phenomena are what we suppose are real, within the Dream world. However, one who has awakened from the Dream world knows that it is false. Therefore, any phenomena appearing to exist or be real within the Dream world are false or unreal.

For example, phenomena that are said to occur include miracles. Another phenomena believed to occur are the laws of physics. Miracles and the laws of physics are contradictory. How can both be real? In fact, both are unreal.

It is because they are unreal that both can exist at the supposed same time, in the same place.

This is why, for the Madyamika, not anything needs to be disputed. Knowing that all things are empty of reality from the start, one unreality within the Dream is equal to any other unreality within the Dream. For whom emptiness is possible, any thing is possible. Put another way, anything is possible that is unreal anyway.
