Ultimate reality is neither present nor not present. Being beginningless and endless, it is formless. Forms, material or immaterial, appear to arise and subside within it.
But neither the forms nor the formless are actually realities.
Nor do they, even together, represent oneness.
Both forms and formlessness are empty of any qualities or quantities; ultimate reality is empty.
So all apparent events and activities are empty of reality.
And that out of which they seem to appear is also empty of every quality, including formlessness.
Realizing this is given the name of ajata.
But the realizing and the realizer are empty of reality.
Emptiness is empty of every thing — even “emptiness”.
Not any thing has ever been created, or not created, in an ultimate reality which is empty.
