Seeking

After 60 years of meditation, you have finally learned that meditation will not get you to where you want to be.


There is a reason for this. When you meditate, you are awaiting something; expecting something to happen. You are hoping to discover the presence of the Absolute.


That is like Ted meditating in the hope of discovering Ted.


You say you have been seeking the “I”, but that you haven’t found it. This is because it is the “I” which has been seeking the “I”.


The teachings tell us that there are not two things; there is only one thing. It is this Oneness that we seek.


But, if there is only one thing—Oneness—there is no “me”, no “I”—unless that “me” or “I” is the Oneness.


When you recognize that you are Oneness, you have found what you seek.

Then meditation will come to an end.


“You” have found what you are seeking, because you are what you are seeking: Oneness (also known as the Absolute, or That.
